About Manatee Pride
Manatee Pride is an all-volunteer effort aimed at empowering and uplifting LBGTQ people (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning) who live in, love, and visit Bradenton and nearby communities, the Gulf islands, and greater Manatee County, Florida. Our goals are to educate, commemorate, celebrate, liberate, and empower though an annual public celebration of pride.
The first-ever Manatee Pride was held at the Bradenton Riverwalk in March 2014, and drew an exceptional 1,500 attendees – impressive for a first year event. Last year we expanded our entertainment, and this year, we plan to have much, much more.
